I am an IT Engineer at an MSP with an interest in all things IT. I have a particular interest in infrastructure, networking and security. This is why at home I have a homelab built on a Proxmox server running on a Dell Optiplex Micro PC.

It’s a cheap and cheerful way for me to experiment, tinker, expand my knowledge and build out my skillset.

This website is a sort of portfolio of stuff I’ve done and things I’ve played around with in my homelab and my professional work.

I love all things FOSS, the philosophy behind it, and what people create with that philosophy in mind. My favourite projects include OPNsense, Jellyfin and Pihole - a great foundation to get started with doing whatever you want in your own network. I use Tutanota for my emails, and Ente for my cloud photo storage.

I’ve got a gaming PC which is my sort of command centre at home, and an older underpowered laptop running CachyOS that I use to get work done.

I’m also a big car and sports fan. I support Liverpool Football Club and love F1. I play football regularly and fancy myself as a bit of a midfield maestro but if I’m being honest I’m more of a defender.
